Social Development department reiterates dedication to strengthening SASSA grants

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and commitment to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) solutions during an engagement with the agency's senior supervisors in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled in the 2024 matric examinations.

From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for your National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% on the registered pupils while in the education and learning sector.

These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
